privacy policy
Tom: fill every [PLACEHOLDER] before this goes live, entity name, jurisdiction, contact email, analytics tool, and email/telegram provider names must be exact. this page was prepared in-house and has not yet been reviewed by a qualified lawyer; a professional review is pending.
slots·science (slotsscience.com) is operated by [PLACEHOLDER: legal entity name and registered address], referred to below as "we". this page says what we collect, why, and what we don't do with it, in plain language, because that's how we write everything else.
the short version
we collect your email if you give it to us, we see standard server and analytics data when you visit, and our affiliate links carry an anonymous click id so we know a visit came from us. we don't have player accounts, we don't collect payment details, we don't sell personal data, and we don't track you across other websites.
what we collect
nothing, by default. you can read every study on this site without an account, a signup, or a paywall.
if you subscribe, we collect:
- your email address (newsletter signups) and/or your telegram handle (channel/bot interactions), plus the date you subscribed
- delivery and engagement basics from the sending platform (whether a message bounced; opens/clicks if the platform reports them)
these are handled by our providers: [PLACEHOLDER: email platform, e.g. MailerLite/Brevo] and telegram. their own privacy policies apply to data they process. joining our telegram channel happens entirely on telegram, under telegram's own privacy policy, we see what any channel operator sees (your public profile as telegram presents it); we do not extract, store, or process member lists.
no accounts. there is nothing to register for on this site. the free-simulation counter in our simulator is stored locally in your browser (local storage), not on our servers, clearing your browser data resets it, and we never see it.
analytics. we use [PLACEHOLDER: analytics tool, e.g. self-hosted Plausible/Matomo, or GA4] to count visits, pages read, and rough geography (country level). we use this to see which studies people read, nothing more. [PLACEHOLDER: if the tool is cookieless, say so here and simplify/remove the cookies section below.]
server logs. our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (ip address, user agent, requested page, timestamp) for security and operations, on ordinary retention schedules.
affiliate links. when you click an outbound casino link, our redirector logs the click (timestamp, the link clicked, and standard request data such as referring page) and attaches an anonymous campaign/click identifier (a "subid") so the operator can attribute the visit to us and we can count which placements work and get paid by partners. the identifier contains no personal data, it tells the operator "this click came from slotsscience, from this page," not who you are. the casino, not us, collects whatever you provide when you sign up there; from the moment you leave this site, their privacy policy applies.
what we don't collect
no gambling activity. we never see your deposits, bets, wins, losses, or casino account details. we are not a casino and hold no player funds. we don't buy data about you, we don't build advertising profiles, we run no advertising trackers or cross-site profiling pixels, and we don't sell or rent anything we hold, period.
why we collect it (legal bases)
- subscriptions: your consent, you signed up, and every message includes an unsubscribe link / you can leave the telegram channel anytime
- analytics and click counting: our legitimate interest in knowing whether anyone reads our work and in being paid for referrals
- nothing here is used for automated decisions about you
cookies
[PLACEHOLDER: confirm against the actual stack.] the site itself aims to set no tracking cookies beyond what the analytics tool above requires. affiliate destinations may set their own cookies after you click out; those are theirs, governed by their policies.
how long we keep it
subscriber data: until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion, plus the short period the platform needs to process removal. analytics and click logs: [PLACEHOLDER: retention period, e.g. 24 months], then deleted or aggregated beyond recognition. email lists are held by our email service provider and the website by our hosting provider; both may process data in data centers outside your country.
your rights
depending on where you live (including under PIPEDA in canada, the australian privacy act, the NZ privacy act 2020, and the GDPR in ireland), you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent at any time. write to [PLACEHOLDER: privacy contact email] and we'll handle it, there's very little to hold, so this is usually fast. you can also complain to your local privacy regulator.
audience and geography
this site is intended for adults (18+, or the higher age your jurisdiction sets) in markets where online play is legal for them. it is available worldwide with one exception: we do not target, market to, or accept signups aimed at residents of the united states. the operators we currently list are not UK-licensed, so we do not market their offers to united kingdom residents; any UK-licensed offers will be handled on a separate track. the site is also not directed at minors; we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we delete it if we learn we have.
changes
if this policy changes materially, we'll date the change at the top of this page and say what changed, the same corrections discipline as our studies.
